Installation and Compatibility

The plug-and-play nature of this Reolink system makes it accessible for DIY installation. Because it is a PoE-based system, you must ensure you have the ability to run Cat5 cables from the NVR to each camera location. The included 2TB hard drive provides ample space for initial use, though the system is highly scalable, supporting up to 16TB of storage if you require longer retention periods. Please note that the NVR is designed specifically for Reolink cameras, and the cameras included in this kit require the NVR to function, as they are not standalone wireless units.

Can I add more cameras to this 8-channel system?

Yes, the NVR supports up to 8 cameras in total. You can add additional Reolink PoE cameras to the system as long as you do not exceed the 8-channel limit.

Does this system support remote viewing?

Yes, you can access live streams and recorded footage remotely using the Reolink app on your smartphone or via client software on your Windows or Mac computer.

Are these cameras suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, the included D500 dome cameras feature an IP67 waterproof rating, making them durable enough to withstand various weather conditions, including rain and shine, within an operating temperature range of 14°F to 113°F.
